For mentors
A few honest conversations can make a path visible.
Choose whether you are open to new mentees. Students may ask about career decisions, applications, personal statements, interviews, or what training is actually like. There is no calendar setup and no required cadence.
Complete review
Every mentor provides LinkedIn. Physicians also provide an NPI for manual public-registry review.
Respond if you choose
Students reach you in one of two ways. A conversation request: we email you, and you accept or decline on Health Mentors (replying accepts). Or a one-time email introduction, which arrives in your inbox; you decide whether to reply.
Conversations on Health Mentors
Text only, and students never see your email address. Messages stay on Health Mentors and are visible only to the two of you. We don't monitor conversations in real time; staff read one only if one of you reports it. You can end a conversation at any time, which is final, or report it, which also ends it and alerts our staff.
Email introductions
You receive the student's message, their email address and a link to their private profile. If you reply, the conversation continues over regular email. Health Mentors does not host or monitor what happens next.
Verification confirms that submitted public information was manually reviewed. It is not a background check, endorsement, or guarantee.
